Global Governance in the Digital Economy

A forum on "Global Governance in the Digital Economy", is scheduled to be held at the start of INDIRE Conf24, for this special interest group. This forum is designed to convene thought leaders, policymakers, industry experts, and scholars to engage in deep discussions on the current challenges and future opportunities presented by the rapidly evolving global digital economy. As we stand at the crossroads of unprecedented global digital transformation, the need for robust, inclusive, and forward-thinking global governance frameworks has never been more critical. Against the backdrop of geopolitical tensions, wars, extreme digital innovations, climate change, global governance is an area that needs deeper discussion, shared understanding and common values, and agreed action plan and execution. Our session will explore, among others, the implications of digital technologies on international trade, cybersecurity, digital rights, management of digital innovations, global harmonization, global agreements, and the equitable distribution of digital dividends among nations. Through a series of keynotes, panel discussions, and interactive workshops, we aim to foster dialogue that will provide insights into shaping effective and sustainable governance structures for our shared digital future as well as who should do what. Your insights and experiences would greatly enrich these discussions, and we look forward to your valuable participation.

Smart Education - Towards the Integration of Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education Institutions

A forum on the integration of artificial intelligence and higher education is set to be a highlight at out INDIRE conference. Designed to stimulate discussion and provide food for thought, this forum aims to bring together educators, technologists, and policy makers, to discuss the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovations and applications in reshaping the landscape of higher education. Following a think tank framework, all participants will delve into a process to identify critical issues on the deployment of AI (and Internet of Things) in our higher education institutions, and discuss all other pertinent considerations essential for the safety of humanity. The forum will provide a unique opportunity to share current cases and scenarios, potential solutions, and other insights on leveraging AI for a safe and productive higher education management. Your contribution to this important dialogue would be invaluable, and we eagerly anticipate your participation in what promises to be a stimulating and forward-looking discussion.
